Alleluia Panis' Pilipino Diasporic Futurism Dance Media Project, INCARCERATED 6x9 was nominated for TWO Isadora Duncan Dance Awards:
Outstanding Achievement in Performance - Company: choreographed by Alleluia Panis
Outstanding Achievement in Visual Design: June Arellano (Costume), and Wilfred Galila (Media Art)
This is an incredible accomplishment not just for Alleluia Panis, but for the whole community; to be recognized for this movement in Contemporary Pilipino Dance where we are reimagining our history and future, and empowering ourselves and the community to address difficult stories where colonization and personal narratives intersect. This accomplishment is an extension of the movement here in SOMA Pilipinas: that our people are being seen and heard.
Congratulations, Alleluia, June, Wilfred, and the entire 6x9 cast!
