KULARTS presents the first annual Agos Holiday Festival 2024, a new cultural event bringing together the Bay Area Pilipinx diasporic community on December 15, 2024 at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center.
Join us for our Agos Holiday Youth Recital Winter 2024, showcasing performances by K-12 students from the Agos program, accompanied by the Agos Rondalla & Percussion Ensemble. The recital will also feature a special presentation of AntingAnting Ritwal, choreographed by KULARTS' Artistic Director Alleluia Panis—an excerpt of the AntingAnting Project KULARTS premiered at the Asian Art Museum in January 2024.
Beyond the recital come celebrate the kick-off of our Agos Holiday Festival with performances, local vendors, and activities. See more details below!
Our Agos Community Engagement and Education Program brings together youth, teaching artists, and elders to explore and celebrate Pilipino cultural heritage through folkloric dance, music, history, and sociopolitical education. This program nurtures a sense of identity and community among young participants while providing opportunities for elders to share their knowledge and experiences.
